Bob is the Senior Disaster Planner with R.D. Flanagan & Associates, a consulting company currently working with communities, tribes, and other government entities developing their disaster mitigation and response plans.
Prior to that, he spent 15 years with the American Red Cross coordinating disaster planning, training and community disaster education, and teaching courses in disaster response, terrorism awareness and International Humanitarian Law. He continues to teach as a Red Cross volunteer.
His education is in Television/Film Production at the University of Tulsa, and Adult & Continuing Education at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa. He is past-President of Tulsa Partners Inc. a former state board member of the Association of Contingency Planners, past President of the Oklahoma Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (OkVOAD), and a member of the Oklahoma Hazard Mitigation Team (a component of the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management), the Region 7 Terrorism Early Warning Group, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, the United Nations Association of Eastern Oklahoma, Tulsa Global Alliance, the Oklahoma Emergency Management Association, and the American Society for Training & Development.
